Snapshot of the original Flying Tigers (AVG). The Flying Tigers changed airframes over the years from the P-40 in World War Two - currently the Flying Tigers are the 74th Fighter Squadron at Moody AFB flying the A-10C. The Flying Tigers follow a long a meritorious combat history - what a great group to emulate in DCS World!

When we started the 23rd virtual Expeditionary Wing in 2018, we were flying the DCS A-10C exclusively - thus when it was time to select a military unit to emulate, we selected the 74th Fighter Squadron. We then adopted the 23rd Wing motto: Attack, Rescue, Prevail

We currently fly multiple DCS World aircraft but continue to fly CSAR and CAS missions - each time we fly a CSAR or CAS sortie, I think of the guys flying those missions for real - shout out to the 23rd Wing at Moody AFB!
